1. Introduction
Cloud Guard ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Cloud Guard mobile application and website.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name through Google Sign-In or email registration via Supabase authentication.
2.2 File Metadata
We store minimal metadata about your uploaded files, including: file name, file type, file size, and upload timestamp. This metadata is protected by Row-Level Security and is only accessible to you.
2.3 What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect or have access to the contents of your files
- We do not store encryption keys on our servers
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking tools
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties
- We do not collect location data, contacts, or browsing history
3. How Your Data Is Protected
Cloud Guard employs a zero-knowledge encryption architecture:
- All files are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before being uploaded
- Encryption keys are derived client-side and never transmitted to our servers
- Encrypted files are stored in a private Telegram channel through our secure backend
- Only your device can decrypt your files
4. Third-Party Services
Cloud Guard uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — for user authentication and file metadata storage
- Google Sign-In — for optional account creation
- Telegram API — for encrypted file storage (files are stored in encrypted form)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — for push notifications (no personal data is shared)
Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
5. Data Retention
Your files and metadata are retained as long as your account is active. When you delete a file, it is permanently removed from our servers. When you delete your account, all associated data (metadata and encrypted files) is permanently deleted.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data at any time through the app
- Download and decrypt all your files
- Delete individual files or your entire account
- Request a copy of your metadata
7. Children's Privacy
Cloud Guard is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes through the app or website. Continued use of Cloud Guard after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
